SLP has a long history of offshore hook-up and commissioning including numerous EPIC contracts that the company has undertaken. SLP has specialised in hook-up of platforms where SLP has undertaken project management, engineering and fabrication responsibility. By offering a complete service on an EPIC basis, SLP has been able to remove a potentially difficult interface between the fabricator and the hook-up contractor.

A hook up and commissioning team will be established at an early stage of the project from the design team, fabrication personnel and operations personnel to manage the completion work scope. This Integrated Completions Team will provide continuity of key personnel throughout the design, fabrication, onshore commissioning and offshore HU&C phases of the project.

The main project objective is to maximise onshore commissioning, minimise offshore hook up and minimise offshore commissioning leading to platform start up. This is conducted in the safest and most cost-effective manner.
