SLP Asia was formed at the beginning of 2006 and was the first step in a long term strategy by SLP to both market and sell its entire product range in the Far East region. Based in Kuala Lumpur, SLP Asia has facilities in Kuantan and Malaysia with similar facilities in Singapore. The company is also involved in local production of marine mastic for field joint coating and flexible concrete mattresses with a plant located in Kuantan, Pahang, Eastern Malaysia.

Keppel SLP LLC joint venture was formed to design, build and install two 220 man accommodation platforms in the Gulf of Mexico Ku-Maloob-Zaap field. Using Keppel's yards in Brownsville and Gulf Island Fabricators (GIF) yards in Houma, Louisiana in the USA together with SLP's engineering, procurement and project management expertise in the UK, the project was successfully delivered on time. The platforms were constructed to provide quality accommodation for the Pemex workforce.
