In addition to our standard range of pipeline protection products Submat are able to supply purpose made pre-cast concrete units aimed at meeting special requirements related to offshore structures and subsea technology.
Submat can undertake the technical and design services, at the conceptual design phase which can result in cost efficient solutions to Client specifications. The applications for Precast concrete units is varied; all units are constructed from high strength reinforced structural concrete and are manufactured in accordance with BS8110:1985 'The structural use of Concrete'.
Concrete is a natural choice for the marine environment, as it is durable and does not corrode. It offers a high impact load resistance when suitably reinforced, has no fatigue problems and a maintenance free operation when installed. This makes concrete an ideal material for many subsea structures.
